Pfister Faucet Review & Easy Gluten-Free English Muffin Bread

I received this product for a review but all opinions are my own.
Christmas was wonderful, exhausting, and so exciting at our house this year. I hope yours was wonderful too.

We decided with only a few weeks before the holidays to remodel the kitchen. We had a bad water leak and the cabinets were ruined. I can't imagine a worse time to do a remodel, but it was totally worth it! I love so many things about the new kitchen, especially my beautiful Pfister Stainless Steel Selia 1-Handle Pull Down kitchen faucet. I can't wait to tell you about it!

And don't miss my new super Easy Gluten-Free English Muffin Bread recipe. It's the last one of the year and it's a doozy!

Pfister Selia Stainless Steel 1-Handle Pull Down Faucet is incredible!
This is a gorgeous faucet. Right out of the box, I was impressed with the size and how solid it feels.
It's contemporary design is the perfect compliment for my modern two toned kitchen and I love that the Pfister Pforever Warranty covers finish and function for life.
My biggest gripe with our old faucet was the fingerprints and spots. I hate fingerprints and spent half my life in the kitchen wiping that old faucet down.
I've had the new Pfister faucet for several weeks now and I am thrilled to say that I never have any spots or fingerprints. It stays beautiful with hardly any cleaning.

How to make your Home More Economical, Help Save the Planet and Save Money!  #green

We all want to do our part to protect the environment, but without a large paycheck, that can be seem difficult, if not impossible. But doing your part doesn't have to be hard. Small steps add up to a big difference, you just have to know which ones to take.   Here's what we do in our home.

Skinny Gluten Free Green Machine Smoothie!!

I'm crazy for smoothies!! I think that a smoothie is so much healthier than juicing, especially when you have Celiac.   You keep all of the fiber that a juicer removes and we need as much natural fiber as we can get.  I used to love Naked's Green Machine,  but it's not gluten free, so I made this one up with similar ingredients and it turned out awesome.

Use whatever fruit is seasonal or canned if that's all you have.  I love any combination!!

DIY laundry detergent from Busy at Home!! Huge Moneysaver!!

I'm heading out to Walmart to get the supplies today!!  I can't wait to try it.  Thanks to Linda- The Gluten-Free Home Maker for posting on her Surfing Saturday    She has lots of great tips this week.  Click here to see the original post by Busy at Home

Gluten Free Ice Cream from a banana!!

Super-creamy, super-easy ice cream from just one thing, banana! The smidgen of fat in bananas makes a magic trick when they are frozen and blended up. They turn creamy instead of crumbly, with a smooth texture that will knock your socks off!!  Hubby was bowled over when I made this.  I've seen the recipe many times online..not sure who posted this first or who figured it out but try it guys,  it's a big Moneysaver over gluten free ice creams.  I'm looking forward to making it with lots of different ingredients and flavors in the future but even plain it's truly wonderful!
Here's a step-by-step of how to do it.
• Peel your ripe bananas first- We only had 2 bananas and it turned into a lot of ice cream!!
• Cut bananas into small pieces.
• Freeze for 1-2 hours on a plate or I throw them in a baggy and freeze overnight.
• Put the frozen banana in your large food processor or heavy duty blender and blend, blend, blend - scraping down the bowl when they stick.  I added a little almond milk to make it move.  Don't use much or your ice cream will be too soft.
• Enjoy the magic moment when it all turns into ice cream! Eat it soft or freeze to firm up.  Hugs!! xx

Gluten Free Homemade Pizza Crust and Sauce, gluten free,

Gluten Free Homemade Pizza Crust and Sauce, gluten free
I love making pizza!  In my previous life, I never attempted a homemade pizza until I found out that I have Celiac. Now that I have, I would never go back!  Homemade is so much better than the soggy ones in the box!

Yes, it's a little work, but it really doesn't take that much time and this is a big MONEYSAVER over buying a little gluten free pizza for $7.00 in the store!!

With this recipe you can make 3 medium crusts for apx $2.00! Boy,  you can't beat that!!

So this is what I do-  (sorry about the old pics with dates!)

This post will show you the PIZZA CRUST and  the PIZZA SAUCE.

I will post my favorite toppings and assembly on another post but it's pretty much whatever you want to pile on and love to eat.  Everything goes on a pizza!!.   Be creative!!

So Here we go!

I make a large batch of dough and split it into 2-3 pizza crusts.  You can do one large and one small or 3 mediums- See recipe below!!
I do the first prebake on all of them and then cool the ones I'm not going to use,  wrap in plastic wrap and foil and  freeze.
This is a big TIMESAVER on busy nights!!  All I have to do is take a crust out of the freezer, make my sauce, top with meat and vegies and cheese and bake for 10-15 min!
Aldi has green peppers and mushrooms on sale all the time and I love them on pizza.  We also use their sausage, pepperoni, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses because they have the best prices I can find.

We have company coming and I've been cooking like crazy and freezing.
Another big TIMESAVER- If you take a day and precook your sauces, meatballs, bread, pizza crusts it will make your life better!  Just freeze and label with the date.   I am so happy when I can pull something out of the freezer and whip up dinner in minutes....it's just heaven.

So as I was saying, I don't want to be in the kitchen the whole time our company is here.  Yesterday I spent the evening making pizza crust and meatballs .  Hubby was out with friends and it was nice quiet evening !  Just me and Jack our lab, cooking and watching girly shows and cooking.  Fun stuff!
